Project Brief

Client: The Better Company (TBC)
My Role: Lead Graphic Designer
Objective: The project was to design a pitch deck that reflects TBC’s brand personality; youthful, professional, quirky, and out-of-the-box; while visually communicating their services, values, and vision.

Design Challenges

While working on this project, I faced a few key challenges;

  • The original color palette of the brand (black and yellow) felt too rigid.

  • I had to find a way of balancing a professional tone with a fun, quirky visual style

  • Integrating real-life photography with visual storytelling through photo manipulation.

Design Solutions (My Process)

Color Palette Expansion

To add vibrance and flexibility without overwhelming the design, I expanded the original black and yellow palette with complementary, energetic colors. These new additions helped bring a youthful and dynamic feel to the deck while still maintaining visual harmony and brand coherence.

Typography

The brand's original typefaces lacked character and didn’t reflect its vibrant identity. I introduced Playfair Display for headings and Glacial Indifference for body text; a combination that merges classic elegance with modern minimalism. This pairing captures both the professionalism and the quirky, youthful edge the brand desired.

Visual Storytelling with Photo Manipulation

To bring the brand’s vision to life, I combined multiple real-life images in creative ways using Photoshop. Each composition visually reinforces the message of its slide.
